UPDATED. Was a good deal...
EDIT/Update at Bottom.
To most of us this is a supplement we need. Expensive and out of my range because I'm disabled living month to month balancing my debt. Every cent counts. One of my medications is $2500 every 3 months, not covered by insurance. Those are my problems but play an important role. I used to have a 30% off Normalyte because the company gave it the customers who needed this product and the same customers who built this company to get them to where they are. Who do you think spread the word? They forgot about us and took away our discount. I stopped buying other supplements from their rivals because I had the coupon. I'm disappointed they took this away as I was a monthly subscriber. Yeah they currently do bulk discount, but I was paying within my means and getting the supplements I needed from one place. I reached out to customer service, not even a response, that's the disappointing part. They could have at least taken the time to reply nicely and tell me to go pound salt it's our company and that's our price. I bet they would reach out if my credit card got declined right? This is salt people. So many options out there and they are charging a premium taking advantage of the chronically ill and disabled. Honestly, now, they are overpriced and I'm looking back at my old products that worked and were cheaper. Guarantee this review won't be posted...
Edit/Update: Today Candi from Normalyte made contact with me by phone. They did receive my original email and attempted to contact me 4 times last week, but Microsoft Exchange is kicking back emails from Yahoo, so I never received the emails they sent hence why I made the review. So I can't blame them for that since they made 4 attempts and it's a known problem with Microsoft exchange and Yahoo, you can Google it. How do I know this? For transparency, Candi offered to send the rejected emails, which I saw and they did in fact send 4 emails that were rejected. So it would not be fair to hold that against the company, on that same note, Candi advocated for me and understood my issue completely without judgement. Candi went above and beyond to fix this issue where Normalyte and myself are happy! Candi was empathetic, honest, transparent, and you could tell Candi cares. Candi didn't ask for me to remove my review for transparency, how many companies say that?! I was thinking about taking it down, but I think it shows that even when a cranky salty customer complains Normalyte has the integrity to not only take it, but fix it with respect and sincerity.
For transparency, here is my review after these events. The 5 stars reflect the product which works great, tastes great, and doesn't make my stomach worse like other companies products. I like the plain because I can mix it with water and other drink packs with different flavors like sugar free flavor packets. However, I've had all the flavors and they are all good, grape is my second favorite, but it comes down to your preference. These are with me everywhere and are a daily necessity like my medications. By far the best salt supplement for people like me!
10 stars for customer service. They tried to contact me but at no fault of their own or mine a third party email service caused a disruption in communication. Candi was honest, professional, compassionate, and is an advocate for the customers and their conditions. I'm only one customer, but look at their reviews and they speak for themselves. I will own up to being salty about this whole thing and understand some issues happen. Candi, thank you!
Highly recommend their products! Their customer service and compassion made me a happy loyal customer because Normalyte cares about their customers and products!
