Dysconf 2026: Supporting the Community

Every year, the Dysautonomia International Annual Conference brings together people from across the dysautonomia community with one shared goal: learning from one another and moving care forward.

This year's conference was no exception.

From leading physicians and researchers to physical therapists, occupational therapists, patients, caregivers, and industry partners, the conference created an opportunity to exchange ideas, learn about the latest research, and build meaningful connections. As the world's largest conference dedicated to autonomic disorders, the event continues to serve as an important meeting place for education, collaboration, and community.

For everyone at NormaLyte, it's one of the highlights of our year.

Proud to Support Dysautonomia International Since the Beginning

NormaLyte has been a proud sponsor of Dysautonomia International's annual conference since its very first conference in 2014.

Supporting Dysautonomia International has always been about more than exhibiting at an event. It's about supporting an organization whose mission includes patient education, research, physician training, and advocacy for people living with dysautonomia.

Each year, we're grateful to play a small part in helping bring together the people working to improve understanding of autonomic disorders.

A Weekend Filled with Learning

One of the things that makes the Dysautonomia International conference unique is the diversity of the attendees.

Over the course of the weekend, we had the opportunity to meet and speak with:

  • Patients living with POTS and other forms of dysautonomia
  • Parents and caregivers
  • Physicians and specialists
  • Researchers
  • Physical therapists and occupational therapists
  • Nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Medical students
  • Advocacy leaders

The conference featured sessions covering the latest research, diagnostic approaches, rehabilitation strategies, practical management techniques, and emerging developments in autonomic medicine. Specialized educational tracks were also available for physicians and rehabilitation professionals seeking continuing education.

Whether someone had been living with POTS for years or had only recently received a diagnosis, there was something to learn.

Conversations That Matter

One of our favorite parts of the conference wasn't just standing behind our booth—it was the conversations.  Some visitors had been using NormaLyte for years and stopped by simply to say hello.

Others had never heard of us before and wanted to learn more about hydration, electrolytes, and why sodium and glucose are commonly discussed in connection with POTS.

Every conversation was different, but they all had one thing in common: people were eager to learn.

We were honored to answer questions, share educational resources, and hand out samples so attendees could become familiar with NormaLyte.

Why Hydration Is Part of the POTS Conversation

Hydration is one of the most frequently discussed lifestyle considerations for people living with POTS.

Current clinical guidance often includes non-pharmacologic strategies such as maintaining adequate fluid intake and, when appropriate, increasing sodium intake under the guidance of a healthcare provider as part of an individualized management plan.

That's one reason the science behind the WHO oral rehydration formula continues to be so relevant. The combination of sodium and glucose is designed to work with the body's natural sodium-glucose cotransport system—a mechanism that supports efficient fluid absorption in the small intestine.

NormaLyte's formulation is inspired by these WHO oral rehydration principles, using a carefully balanced ratio of sodium and glucose designed to support hydration.

Many attendees were interested in learning not just what was in NormaLyte, but why the formulation was designed the way it is.  Those educational conversations are some of the most rewarding parts of attending the conference.

Supporting Education Beyond the Exhibit Hall

Real review of NormaLyte Pure

This year, we were especially excited to help more people attend the conference.

Through conference giveaways and sponsorship opportunities, NormaLyte was able to help members of the community participate both in person and online.

Education has always been one of the most valuable aspects of the Dysautonomia International conference. Whether someone is attending their first conference or returning for another year, access to expert presentations and educational sessions helps strengthen the entire community.

Helping make that education more accessible was something we were proud to support.

Seeing Familiar Faces—and Meeting New Ones

Every conference feels a little like a family reunion.

There were familiar faces we've looked forward to seeing every year, customers who stopped by just to catch up, physicians we've worked alongside for years, and advocates who continue to make a tremendous impact in the dysautonomia community.

At the same time, we met countless people attending for the very first time.

Watching someone discover that they're surrounded by hundreds of people who truly understand what they're experiencing is something that's difficult to put into words.  Those moments remind us why community matters.

Thank You for Stopping By

To everyone who visited our booth, picked up samples, asked thoughtful questions, shared your story, or simply stopped to say hello—thank you.

Your experiences, feedback, and conversations continue to inspire us.

We're already looking forward to next year's conference and another opportunity to learn alongside this incredible community.

Until then, we'll continue doing what we've always tried to do: support education, share the science behind hydration, and be a resource for the dysautonomia community.
