FAQs
People love NormaLyte for its effectiveness in delivering fast, reliable hydration without causing stomach discomfort. Developed by practicing pharmacists, it’s especially appreciated by those with conditions like POTS or dysautonomia, as it helps manage symptoms by supporting blood volume and electrolyte balance. Users also value NormaLyte for its clean, science-backed formulation, lack of artificial ingredients, and affordability, which makes high-quality hydration accessible. The convenient options, including powder and capsules, fit well into active or busy lifestyles, making it a trusted choice for daily hydration.
ORS STICKS: The sticks are medical grade electrolytes called oral rehydration salts (ORS). ORS is something hospitals and doctors all around the world use to manage dehydration. ORS allows your body to hold onto hydration more effectively than water alone, and it usually starts working within the first 5 minutes of drinking! If you have an FSA/HSA, you can use it to purchase the sticks.
CAPSULES: The capsules are great for those who are needing to further supplement their sodium intake. Some people may have a goal they're trying to achieve and the capsules help with that. Keep in mind these are not ORS so they do not allow your body to absorb water as effectively, but they're great for those who may need additional support.
Both products are made to be gentle on your stomach, but some people prefer one over the other. Most of that just comes to personal preference. Also, if you’re someone who has POTS keep in mind that the ORS sticks are clinically proven to help manage symptoms of POTS.
Every person is very different on their medial requirements, and we cannot tell you how much to take. If your doctor hasn't made a suggestion on total sodium (or salt) intake, I would recommend reaching out and asking them what they think. Once you know that number, you'll be able to determine what amount of NormaLyte would work best for your body.
The Cleveland Clinic recommends that people with POTS consume anywhere from 3,000mg - 10,000mg of sodium daily. Sodium comes from a lot of different sources, but we hear of people with POTS using up to 4 sticks a day. PURE contains 863mg of sodium per stick.

The ORS sticks boast a balanced electrolyte formula with a lack of artificial ingredients to help reduce the likelihood of stomach discomfort, making it a suitable choice for those with sensitive stomachs or digestive concerns.
Like the powder, the Pure Electrolyte Capsules are buffered and designed to be gentle on the stomach. For those with sensitive stomachs, this buffering process helps provide a smoother, more comfortable absorption experience, making the capsules easier to tolerate.

This can help manage symptoms like lightheadedness, fatigue, and dizziness by addressing common issues of dehydration and low blood volume often experienced by those with POTS. Its formulation is also safe, easy on the stomach, and available without prescription, making it a convenient option for daily hydration management.
